By using Cakebuddy, you agree to these terms. We've tried to keep them straightforward and fair. If something doesn't make sense, reach out—we're happy to explain.

Using Cakebuddy

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when creating your account
• Keep your login credentials secure
• Use Cakebuddy for its intended purpose (remembering birthdays, not spamming people)
• Not attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service
• Be at least 13 years old to use the service

Your Content

The birthday data, notes, and gift history you add to Cakebuddy remains yours. We don't claim ownership of your content. However, you grant us permission to store and process it to provide the service.

You're responsible for the content you add. Don't add anything illegal, harmful, or that violates others' privacy without their consent.

Subscriptions & Payments

Free Tier

The free tier includes basic features with limits (10 birthdays, 3 cards/month). It's free forever—no trial period, no hidden charges.

Premium Subscriptions

Premium features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Pricing is displayed before purchase.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription anytime through your device's app store settings. You'll retain Premium access until the end of your current billing period.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies. We're happy to help resolve any issues—just contact us.

Gift Suggestions & Affiliate Links

Our AI gift suggestions are recommendations, not guarantees. We do our best to suggest relevant gifts, but we can't guarantee any product's quality, availability, or suitability.

Some gift links are affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you purchase through them, at no extra cost to you. This doesn't influence our recommendations.

Service Availability

We strive to keep Cakebuddy running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. Occasionally we need to perform maintenance or may experience outages.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. If we discontinue the entire service, we'll give you time to export your data.

Limitation of Liability

Cakebuddy is provided "as is." While we work hard to make it reliable, we can't be held liable for:

• Missed reminders due to technical issues
• Gift suggestions that don't work out
• Data loss (though we do our best to prevent this)
• Any indirect damages from using the service

Account Termination

You can delete your account anytime from the app settings. We may also terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior.

Upon termination, your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. For significant changes, we'll notify you via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
